Food Dance is in a class by itself in Kalamazoo. Its new location [also downtown:)] is true art-chic and ever worth the trip. This is a friendly and truly fine casual dining restaurant where are comfortable to take our rather well behaved little boy, or take good friends from big cities and other countries. They always love it! The high quality organic food is wonderful. We love the new ginger rice cakes and everything else.

Food Dance is an interesting place to eat. From the giant painted asparagus to the interesting food selections, there's no other place like food dance in the area. The prices can be a bit steep, but given that all the food is supposed to be fresh and organic, one can understand the price tag a little better. I personally wasn't a big fan. Perhaps I'm just addicted to my preservatives, or maybe I just can't get up the nerve to lay out 12 bucks for a burger. Either way, give it a shot and judge for yourself. Just don't set your expectations too high.

Located in downtown Kalamazoo, the Food Dance Cafe offers some of the best food in town. Though it's a little pricey, their fresh ingredients and welcoming atmosphere makes it money well spent. And the inside has an artsy, contemporary decor that's completely original and inviting. For lunch, the Bossa Nova open-faced sandwich is one of my favorites while my wife loves the Zydeco Crab Cake grilled sandwich (it's hard to get her to order anything different). They also offer a variety of well-selected wines that complement their meals very nicely. Though there are a lot of great restaurants downtown, this is usually one of the first that comes to mind when I'm looking for good food I know I can count on. I recommend this place.
