I wouldn't put any family member in any Michigan facility owned by Assisted Living Concepts...they DO NOT have a state license to operate as a home for the aged. They don't tell you they don't have a license, but in fact, the state was getting ready to close the doors of the Michigan ALCCO facilities, Sojourner House, Bowman House and Masonville Home, when the company decided they could work around having a license and thus decided to bring in an outside food provider and can now operate without a license. But what people don't know is there is no state control over what happens in a facility without a license...there are no inspections, the workers do not need to be trained properly, an ombudsman cannot help you and the list goes on and on. Best thing to do is stay away from any ALCCO facility and find a good licensed ALF for your loved one!
I do not recommend this place.
